Upsher Heating + Plumbing: Proud to Support Our Local Community

Based in Hook, Hampshire, Upsher Heating + Plumbing is a company deeply committed to supporting and enriching the community it serves. Founded in 2016 by Scott Clarke, Upsher has grown from a one-person operation into a thriving team of 12, including several apprentices. This growth reflects our ongoing dedication to creating local employment opportunities and developing future talent within the trade.

Our involvement in the community extends well beyond our heating and plumbing services. We’ve proudly sponsored a range of local events and initiatives, including supplying water bottles at the FOOBS run in Old Basing and organising Easter egg and goodie bag hunts in the area. These small but meaningful activities help us stay connected to the people we serve.

One of our proudest partnerships is with Hook Football Club, where we’ve sponsored the newly formed girls’ teams for their first two seasons following a nomination from local parents. The teams have achieved fantastic results and encouraged many young girls to get involved in sport. We also support other local football clubs, including Hartley Wintney and the U7 Raiders from Hawley Football Club, both of which foster enjoyment and development for young players.

In December 2024, one of our team members, Bryn, asked if the company could contribute to a local toy drive supporting underprivileged children at Christmas. We were more than happy to help. Together, Bryn and Scott visited Oaklea House Nursery to donate a selection of toys that were later distributed to families in need across the community.

Another initiative close to our hearts is our sponsorship of the F1 in Schools team at Robert Mays School. This global education programme challenges students to design, build, and race miniature F1 cars. The talented team from Robert Mays recently won the National Finals and are now headed to Singapore for the World Finals — an incredible achievement, and one we are proud to support, especially as it aligns with Scott’s passion for Formula 1.
